What is a Forever Home?

Over the centuries, home design has been static. Locked in place. Non-changing.
Life isn’t that way. From babies to kids, stairs and basements, to teenagers, and college. We’re always changing.
A Forever Home is designed
to accommodate all those life changes. There’s never a need to leave your Forever Home due to age or mobility. It’s Forever, and it’s your home.

What is Zero Entry home design?

Total and Easy Access to your home

Zero obstacles to enter your home. No front porch steps, no garage steps, and no steps in the home. That’s zero-entry home design.
How do we do it? First, all our Forever Homes are designed and engineered with structural beams and laminated I-Joist floor systems.
I-Joist floors provide a warm and slightly elastic floor system versus concrete slabs. The key is the ability to design and engineer the floor system WITHIN the foundation, versus on top of the foundation.
By dropping the floor system inside the concrete walls, all exterior concrete walkways, patios, porches, and garage floors are the same height as the bottom of the door sills.
That’s a zero-entry home.
Designed and built with no obstacles.

No Barriers

Dropped floor systems in the foundation create a quality floor that removes all stairs and obstacles in the Forever Home

Wheelchairs Welcomed

Wide hallways, ADA-sized doors and bathrooms, no stairs, no hinderances that’s a Forever Home

Wheelchair and Walker Accessible

If it comes time to roll, your Forever Home can Rock and Roll with no worries

No one ever wants to think about a medical issue that forces them to use a walker or wheelchair.
Temporary, or long-term, if your home is not designed for wheelchair accessibility, you may have to move.
Very few homes have hallways, doors, bathrooms, and other locations that are designed for the width required for a wheelchair.
Your Forever Home is designed for wheelchairs and walkers. Every hallway is oversized, all doors are 2’10” plus in width, and bathrooms are designed for easy roll-in and roll-out.

Dual Master Bedrooms

Sometimes, it’s nice to get a goodnight sleep

This is a tough one unless you’ve been married for many years. If so, you get it.
Once in a while, you or your partner just need a quiet and peaceful sleep. The flu, a bad cold, coughing all night – you just want some privacy and sleep.
A secondary Master Bedroom with an ensuite bathroom is the perfect feature in your Forever Home.
It’s also perfect for your guests to visit, or if you temporarily need full-time help in the house.
If not, what a great space to have in your Forever Home.
